Hello everyone! Hope you guys are all doing great this holiday season. The style denizens at the Ylla HQ are busy holiday bees and extremely excited for the coming weeks. We have got some great things in store for you, we are bursting with excitement to unveil them all so keep posted!

For starters, we’d like to introduce a new bi-monthly blog series here in Ylla Express called Ylla Blogger Diaries, where we will be featuring noteworthy fashion bloggers who we think have rockin’ style. If you’re looking for everyday style inspirations, these awesome fashion folks are your best bets.

We’re kicking off the series with Kaye Awatin of The Style Flux.

 

Meet Kaye Awatin, the fashion savvy blogger of The Style Flux.  We are completely amazed by how much she has achieved with the blog, considering she only started blogging in June of this year. With fashion features on stylebible.ph and AVA.ph and more than 100 lookbook looks, Kaye is really making her way well into the local fashion blogging arena, and we aren’t surprised. Her masterful mash ups of colored pieces, her choices of interesting prints & textures, plus her impeccable fashion editing for all of her outfits definitely make her a buzz-worthy stylista.

Get to know more about Kaye with our Q&A session below:

1. Can you tell us more about your blog? How did it come about and what is your main focus?

The Style Flux is mainly about a documentation of what I wear, all the fashion shows and events I get to go to thanks to my blog and all the things in fashion that inspire me.

I have been interested in fashion all my life, I started my blog because I wanted have a place where I could share the way I see fashion and the way I translate the trends to my personal style. I figured the best place to do it was through the internet. My main focus is to share about my personal style and all the trends in fashion.

2. Describe your personal style.

I don’t think I have a particular style, my style is completely ever-changing and diverse, just because I love playing around with trends and I usually dress up depending on my mood and where I’m going. Generally, the way I dress up translates to a style that is between (or both) Chic and Edgy. I love combining rock-and-roll and chic pieces.

3. What type of shoes do you like wearing?

I love wearing black shoes, more specifically peep-toe heels and platforms with leather and suede material, because they can be easily styled around and they practically go with everything I wear.

4. Describe your dream shoe.

My dream shoe is a high-heeled wedge platform with armour metal details. A modern gladiator-inspired shoe.

5. If you had to wear just 1 pair of shoes for the rest of your life, which pair would you choose and why?

That would have to be a Mary Jane platform because it is timeless. The great thing about this shoe is that it can be worn in all seasons and you can easily style and match them with any type of clothes.
